Snow Day Details

So yesterday was super fun! Our neighbors make to much keisch for breakfast, so they gave us the extra...so good!  Then, we went across the street to collect Drew, then headed off the the golf course (convienently next door) to sled and snowboard.  Luke taught Drew to snowboard and Drew hijacked a little girl's sled so I could play too. (even though i only wanted to film them, walking around in it was more than enough for me) We had lunch back at the Bunch's, then headed home to cook.  I was making dinner for all of us....that was the plan at least.  I somehow managed to mess up the baking of the chicken so that we ended up feeding the baby some carrots then going back to their house for taco dinner at 9pm. (we were supposed to eat at 6:30) Reguardless, it was a good time.
Also I am setting up skype right now so if you wanna "call us" its lynn.henderson911
You should get skype so we can have video conversations over the internet...it's free, and great...so do it.
love you guys!

Good day

Saturday was a fantastic day! We went to a birthday party. Our friends from Texas (Drew and Krista) invited us to their daughter's 1st birthday party.  We got to meet some of their friends.  Each of the couples were really nice and friendly.  They made us feel completely at welcome and at home.  Luke might have even gotten a basketball crew out of the deal.  Then we went grocery shopping. (Which is kinda scary to spend so much without an income.)
Sunday was nice too.  We enjoyed church a lot (Drew and Krista's) and plan on attending the next membership class to find out if we plan on staying there.
Monday night we went to a marriage seminar/speech given at the seminary as part of the orientation.  The school president (Danny Akin) gave it and it was fantastic!!! He was just encouraging the couples on how to strengthen one another throughout seminary and a life in ministry.   At one point he was explaining the idea of "Romance" to the men....he explained it as a game of Hide and Seek where the wife "hides" the romance and the husband has to find it.  But we always move it, and change what it is, and don't always know ourselves.  He was soooooooooooo funny and soooo right!
Today was super boring, more just sitting at home and trying to at least get an interview.  I am starting to get worried and nervous.  Luke is having a hard time making out a class schedual without a job too.  If he can't find night classes he might loose whatever possibilities of employment he comes across.  He had an interview Monday but hasn't heard from them yet.  Please keep praying for jobs for us, we really need them.

Bye Texas

Well, here we are in North Carolina. It has been a week since we left Texas on the first full day of my 23rd year.  Mom and Aunt Karen left yesterday morning.  Surprisingly there were minimum tears....untill bedtime.  I spent the day filling out applications, cleaning, unpacking, and hanging pictures.  (pretty much how the entire week here has been) Basicly I was busy and distracted all day.  So when bedtime hit and my brain slowed down the realization hit that we are alone in our new home.  While in reality the new start is exciting and refreshing, in the back of my mind there are still the issus of being on our own.  The nearest family is 4.5 hours away, as of now we have 1 couple friend and 2 other acquaintance couples, and neither of us have jobs. So naturally all of that plus the idea that mom wouldn't be here in the morning exploded into a crying mess.  Luke was so sweet through it all and The Lord used the break down to bring us closer as a couple and to Him....our God is so good!
Anyway, the trip was not bad and we didn't take as many documentary pictures as Denise wanted, but I will post a very few. (a video of the new place is on facebook)  When we first got here our next door neighbors came out to help us unload to find the mattresses.  They're Noelle and Jerred, and they're super friendly and we like them a lot.  Our friends Drew and Krista came from across the street to help too.

UUUUG...

Packing is really starting to drive me crazy...and I haven't even done very much at all!  I wish I could just skip to the putting things in their new places.
Still no jobs...but God is good!

Christmas

I forgot to put up pictures...we went to my grandparent's house in Florida.  My cousins went to the beach with us one day and here are the results:

And It all begins

Well, the hardcore packing and cleaning began today.  I am amazed at how quickly boxes can fill up, and how heavy they can get.
Niether Luke, nor I have a job in Wake Forest yet.  The Lord has given me a calm that I never expected.  We are applying and praying, but not stressing the way I normaly would.
The only thing that bothers me right now is the fact that we have so much to do, and so many people to see in 13 short days.  In order for us to spend time with the people we hold dear we are going to have to split our time.  I don't think the distance from all I know will hit me until Mom leaves us in Wake Forest.
At this moment (and everyday at work) I am just ready to go.  I am excited about moving into our new home and setting it up the way I (we) want it.  I am excited to begin our new adventure and see what the Lord has in store for us there.
